Currently, the Town partners with the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority (CRRA) to offer one-time
electronics recycling collection events. Manchester recently hosted an electronics recycling event on
Saturday, June 5th. The next CRRA event that is geographically convenient to Manchester will be held at the Glastonbury Highway Department on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Additionally, there are a few national retailers located in Manchester that offer electronics recycling program on a permanent basis, more information can be found by clicking here.
New this year, CRRA will offer paper shredding at its recycling collection events.
Bring your boxes of old papers, canceled checks, bills, records and other materials -- especially those that could enable someone to steal your identity -- to our electronics collections. They'll be safely shredded and recycled, conserving natural resources and protecting your identity.
Finally, the Town hopes to have a permanent electronics recycling program in place by the end of 2010. Once this program is established, Manchester residents will be able to offer free electronics recycling to all residents during the normal business hours of the Town's Transfer Station and Landfill, currently Monday to Saturday from 7:15 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. Additional information regarding this new recycling program will be posted here at soon as it is available.
